About Ram

Chairman

Ram Budhathoki

When I heard this quote from Mahatma Gandhi years ago, it immediately drew my attention. Maybe because I experienced poverty myself in my childhood and saw a lot of poverty around me. Fortunately, my parents did everything they could to send me to a good school. In retrospect, that was the key to escaping poverty. I wish this opportunity to all children in Nepal that live in poverty and find themselves in a hopeless situation.

I was born and raised in Nepal (Changu, Bhaktapur) and have been living and working in the Netherlands since 2001, where I now have a family. I feel at home in both countries and know the culture of both countries inside out. I want to use and connect my knowledge and skills for the underprivileged children and adults in Nepal. Giving something back to the people of my native country in this way gives me great satisfaction.
